Vacu-Lug team members, Richard Gibson, Craig Rudkin and Graham Bristow, last month celebrated reaching 25 years’ service with the company.
Richard is a valued member of the precure department, where he has worked for all of his 25 years, during which time he has undertaken the City and Guilds Level 1 in Retreading course, as well as the Bandag Master Craftsman course.
Craig began his Vacu-Lug career in the manufacturing team, working in the mill shop, off-the-road repairs and precure departments. Thereafter, he worked in the technical team, before going on to production managerial roles, which led on to include other managerial responsibilities such as procurement, production planning and environmental. He now works in the fleet operations team.
Graham spent the first fifteen years of his career on the ocean with the Royal Navy, after which he spent time helping to recruit for them in London. During his Royal Navy career, Graham received a medal for his service. At Vacu-Lug, Graham has been a moulder for most of his 25 years but has recently been trained in final inspection. In his spare time, Graham enjoys walking with his dog and has a love for motorbikes.
Richard, Craig and Graham were presented with special gifts by Vacu-Lug’s Chairman, Chris Langham. In exchange for his gift, Graham chose to make a generous donation to the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity.
John Parsons, Vacu-Lug’s Finance Director, commented on the achievements of the team:
“Congratulations to Richard, Craig and Graham for achieving their 25 years’ service with Vacu-Lug. We would like to express our thanks to them for their long and loyal service. Also, well done to Graham who, in exchange for his gift, has very generously decided to make a donation to the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity.”
