In just four years since its launch, Vacu-Lug Tyres has produced the 100,000th Duramold WZY2 tyre, its premium quality remould for the municipal and waste management industry. To commemorate this achievement, Vacu-Lug has organised a special ‘treasure hunt’ competition for its tyre distributors and their customers.
The tyre has now entered Vacu-Lug’s stock and will be despatched at random to one of its nationwide network of distributors in the near future. Upon discovering the tyre bearing serial number 100,000, the distributor and the customer for whom it is destined will share a treasure trove of £500-worth of tyres. Simultaneously, the find will trigger a £500 donation to the Help for Heroes campaign.
“The rapid success of the Duramold WZY2 includes a high proportion of repeat purchases and demonstrates its market acceptance and value as a premium product within the important municipal and waste management sectors,” comments Tim Hercock, Managing Director of Vacu-Lug Tyres Limited. “To celebrate this success, we are delighted to be staging this competition, which will provide some well-deserved fun for our distributors and customers and much-needed funds for the Help for Heroes campaign.”
Featuring a deep tread pattern, wide profile and low rolling resistance, the Duramold WZY2 is produced using a specially formulated premium quality compound.. While intended primarily for on-road use, the tyre is sufficiently rugged to withstand the rigours of visits to landfill sites. Delivering additional protection in operation are the tyre’s integral dual-sidewall protection, self-cleaning stone ejection tread and a high resistance to lateral abrasion and heat generation.
